i have just found your presentation at wordcamp (from earlier this month) about wordpress. i found it very interesting and have looked at the website you did for the trinity thailand school. i think it looks great and is easy to find your way around.

i would love to be able to design something similar to the trinity site – information, not a blog – and i followed your slides but i am really unsure where to start with wordpress. should i find a basic theme and then customise it?? do i need to learn more about php before i start??

@liz: WordPress is so easy to use as a CMS, even easier than the “real” CMS out there. I switched from a paid CMS to WP about 4 months ago with php knowledge of 0 and now all my sites are running with WP.
For the steps of learning, I think I better leave it to Chris to explain, since he is a teacher

but i can’t find how to attribute images (avatars) for categories or post as you have in yours.
In version 2.0, use Post Thumbnail box
